It came from a lyric of a Vintage Trouble song called Doin’ What You Were Doing. The lyric is “Why don’t we allow ourselves to be the legends while we’re living?”

I got to thinking; why don’t we? Why don’t we really step into our destiny to become the greatest versions of ourselves? I wasn’t initially certain if the name was a little too grandiose. I finally decided on it because part of my intention of this blog is hoping to give permission for people to live your greatest, most fulfilling, and most adventurous life. Also, life is completely unpredictable and most certainly isn’t always peachy keen, and I wanted to create this as a legacy to remind us of the light in times of darkness, of the highs despite the lows, and of the joy that’s possible.

Two friends of mine, Kye Bracket and Nia Hayes, came up with a delightful and whimsical game that’s become one of my favorite games. It’s called the acroname game. It’s an acronym of your name that captures the essence of who you are. It took me a couple of years to figure out what mine is. I finally discovered that for me, it’s an invitation; CRYSTAL: Come Realize You Seek To Adventurously Live. This blog is an invitation to do exactly this. I hope something here inspires you, even if only in a small way, to live your life a little more fully, authentically, and Adventurously.
